Yarn Along

DSC00545 DSC00548As of writing this D’s scarf is done. It took me 1 week to knit 6 feet of scarf on size 15 needles. The yarn is Rowan Big Wool. Lovely cushy stuff. You might be wondering where he might be wearing this nice warm scarf now that it’s 80 degrees outside. I will tell you very very soon I promise! If you already have an inkling please keep the secret! :)

Now on to that size two needle sweater.

As for reading: Taproot arrived on Monday. Yay! I can’t wait to dive in. All I have read so far is the table of contents.

I think Taproot and Kindred are my two mailbox joys! What a warm scarf. No, it doesn’t fit for Arizona. I am intrigued.

Thanks! This was the first time I’ve ever attempted cabling. I had to go down to my local knit shop for some initial help but then I just went for it. Like everything else practise, practise, practise and a bit of fearlessness.

  10. Lovely! Big and squishy always go together, don’t they?

I switched over this afternoon having finished the scarf and it felt like knitting with toothpicks. It was way strange!
