This has been the week of Tiny Tea Leaves. I finally got the buttons on V sweater. I love these sweet little bees from Wild Plums. I left the button hole row off this sweater and opted for velcro instead so that V could easily take the sweater off herself. I was worried that if I put the buttons on normal with a button hole that she would try to rip them off.
S’s sweater is coming along nicely as well. I’ll be done by next week. Then on to D’s sweater which I will be knitting until the sun implodes.
Nothing in the reading department again. Let’s just say I got through season three of Downton Abby and I am not going to say anymore, no spoilers here.
What are you knitting and reading? Joining Ginny for Yarn Along.

you have been a knitting queen! look at all that work. they’re looking great! even the “pepto” is super-cute. I’m slow going on Z’s sweater. I was hoping to make a lot of progress while we drove last weekend, but the baby boy who screamed most of the trip in his carseat had other ideas.
I’ve never been able to knit in the car. Someone is always making a fuss. One day….
Hopefully! I thought I was the only mama who couldn’t pull it off.
They look lovely KC and those buttons are perfect!
Thanks Kim! They are so loving handmade too.
Love the buttons! And velcro is brilliant. I jumped into Downton midseason so now I’m back tracking and getting all the back story. What a show!
It is a fantastic show. The velcro works so well. I don’t have to worry about any stitches getting pulled out due to a frustrated 18 month old.
Oh, what did you think of the ending??? It is quite engrossing and distracting – all in a good way. Love the sweaters.
Oh Heather, I hated it. I wish they had just ended the series a few minutes before the ending. I would have been satisfied with the story.
oh are your tiny tea leaves beautiful and the child wearing them……so cute !
Thank you very much!
So, so adorable! I love those little bee buttons, too.
Thank you Meryl. Amanda has lots of lovely buttons in her shop.
the sweaters are lovely. that pink…. oh my, i just love pink. and what a great idea for the buttons, they sure are sweet.
Thank you. You’ll probably see a lot more pink coming out of this blog as S is madly in love with pink. She actually had the opportunity to tell someone yesterday at the park when a little boy asked her favorite color.
They look fantastic!
Thank you very much!
these sweaters are adoooorable!
regarding your question on our blog: YES!! that book is available in English, it is called The Children of Noisy Village and I am 100% sure it has also been translated into Italian!!
Awesome thank you! They do have it on Amazon.
Oooh… I *love* that yellow. So sweet.
Me too. It so warm yet cheerful.
love!
Thanks!
LOL, until the sun implodes! Ha, I am right there with you! Love the little buttons, they are so sweet.
I’m so glad my joke made someone laugh! Cheers!
love love love the sweaters and her modeling the sweater is precious!! Such a sweetie pie
Thank you so much! The second Tea Leaves has gone so much quicker then the first. Amazing how fast you can knit something up a second time.
what sweet sweet little leaves!
Good plan with the velcro… Kate has a tendency to pull at things with buttons even though she is older. She’s finally learning to unbutton them, but as a mama who wanted to avoid the many clothing changes that a toddler girl can go through, I waited a while to teach her! The sweaters are beautiful!
Thanks! I thought about snaps as well but she has a hard time opening most snaps just yet.
