Here we are finally, all four hats are done. I finished D’s hat just in time for solstice. It ended up being a bit too big so I had to block it which helped. However we both agree that the chunky yarn does not go so well on his head. So I will be taking the hat for myself and knitting another one for him in worsted weight yarn.
As for reading I’ve been re-reading Project Based Homeschooling, Teach Me to do it Myself and of course Taproot still.
What are you reading and knitting now that the holidays are over? If anything…
Joining Ginny for Yarn Along

Great hats and they look so good on the fam.
Thank you Eileen!
love the hats and how lucky are you to get two??? I hope the worsted weight fits better for him. Love your bright colors!!
Karen, I hope the worsted weight works better too. I just need to get over to my yarn shop to see what they have. I’ve learned a lot knitting these four hats. I think I’m finally ready for tiny tea leaves.
Great hats! I love the family pic
Kate, thank you very much!
your hats turned out beautifully! great work. i too am enjoying taproot. such great stuff to read in there.
Heather, don’t you love the paper dolls in Taproot! I want to cut them out but they would get ripped to shreds right now!
So sweet, such fun knitting. I love taproot as well!
Mary- it was fun to work my way through different personalities!
They look so great KC!!!
Thank you very much Kim!
love the hats, I’m doing hats, too, just all the same style!
Leslie, hats of all the same style would have been so much easier!
true – I’ll try another style when I don’t have a deadline
what a great family portrait — and great hats!
Thank you Lori! I’m quite happy with the picture as well.
You all look wonderful! Great shot!
Thank you Erin. That was the best out of 4 or 5 pics.
love this KC! i think i would never get my hubby to wear a hat i made…
D really want to wear the hat I made but the yarn was too bulky. If he had dreads it might work! Looking to find a nice worsted weight charcoal or dark grey for the re-do.
Yay family hats! You all look adorable!
Thank you Courtney!
