Did you enjoy a walk through the desert? We spent day of solstice outside admiring the light and shadows. With every walk we take together we become more connected, freer, happier.

Climb the mountains and get their good tidings.  Nature’s peace will flow into you as sunshine flows into trees.  The winds will blow their own freshness into you, and the storms their energy, while cares will drop off like autumn leaves.  ~John Muir

Such beautiful weather we have here in the desert and such a lovely landscape. I think a hike is in order this weekend. Last year we hiked all the time, but we haven’t gotten out much this year.

We haven’t hiked as much this year as I would have liked. It’s hard with two littles one who want to be carried most of the time. We are trying to be better about it. Happy New Year!

  2. Thanks for taking me along, I enjoyed it. Maybe one day we will get to hike together :)

What a beautiful trail. So neat to see a dry landscape again…so very different from what we are living in here!!

It’s called the birding trail. It’s very interesting as it’s partially in the reparian area and partially in the desert. So you get to see lots of wildlife. I wish I had brought by big camera and not just my phone. Next time.

  4. the desert has always fascinated me. beautiful photos!
it’s true that walks and hikes connect. not only us with nature, but also with the people we are with. it even seems that conversations flow much more freely out there, don’t they?

Simona, I totally agree about conversations coming easier in nature. Many of our most important decisions as a couple have come while hiking.
